Starting September, every child in a family on Universal Credit will get Free School Meals.

We’re one step closer to Free School Meals for All. Thanks to educators, parents and our 350+ strong coalition of civil society organisations, public figures and MPs who fought hard for this change.

A hot, healthy school dinner is an essential for every child, just like desks or school supplies.
Means testing will always mean some children are left out. In England, all pupils in Reception through Y2 get Free School Meals already. Why should it be any different for a child in Year 3 and up?
It’s simple: Free School Meals for All is the future we want for our schools.
